Among them — the skull sitestogo Rhino. These animals lived on the territory of our region, 50 thousand years ago, and became extinct about 10 thousand years ago.
The skull has long been kept in the Museum, not exhibited due to lack of space in the exhibition hall. It was found in 1933 and a rare exhibit have never been exhibited.
When the skull was being prepared for the exposition of the restorers, it documents all-Ukrainian scientific-research Institute of Zoology and biology dated 1931. The Institute experts examined the remains of animals. Why is paper left in the skull for the Museum staff remains a mystery.
