The building was attacked by a group of unknown who smashed the Windows and tried to commit arson.
Unknown on Monday tried to set fire to the French cultural Institute in the Greek capital Athens.
“Was set on fire a car parked at the building, and the fire damaged another car was close by. Unknown broke Windows in the Institute”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that none of the men was injured.

According to law enforcement, no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The police also don’t understand why target was precisely the institution that organizes cultural and educational programs.
In turn, the Greek foreign Ministry condemned the attack, calling it “senseless and criminal act against the Institute, which is the symbol of the Greek-French friendship.”
