In Gyumri, Russian serviceman was found dead
In the Armenian city of Gyumri found the body of a man in the form of a Russian soldier, said the Agency Sputnik Armenia, the Shirak region’s Prosecutor Karen Gabrielyan.
“According to preliminary data, is a dead soldier-the contract employee Dmitry Lapaev,” said Gabrielyan, who arrived on the scene.
According to him, the murder suspect had been detained.
Eyewitnesses said that the man died from stab wounds received in the scuffle.
The death of the Russian military confirmed in the southern military district. According to preliminary data, the murder was committed on domestic violence. The command headquarters of the southern military district is conducting an investigation jointly with the Armenian law enforcement agencies.
In the city of Gyumri in Northern Armenia deployed 102nd Russian military base, which carries on combat duty in the framework of United air defense system of the CIS. Russia and Armenia on 20 August 2010 extended until 2044, the expiration of the agreement on the base.
