In Arkansas for the first time in 12 years the death penalty

The authorities planned to carry out a series of executions until April 30, when it was supposed to end the period of implementation of midazolam, a substance that is part of the lethal injection.

This decision caused a wave of protests from human rights activists. They were joined by American celebrities, including actor johnny Depp.

Some of the death sentences challenged in the end three of them were cancelled, and the action of another suspended sentence.
