In Africa, a crashed school bus, many dead

The President called the incident a national tragedy.

“32 students, two teachers and the bus driver were killed when it falls into the ravine. The accident occurred when the bus was descending a steep hill in the rain,” – said in the message.

It is noted that the dead children were 12-13 years old.

Police have launched an investigation to determine whether the cause of the accident mechanical malfunction of the bus or the driver error.

The President of Tanzania John Magufuli made a statement which called the incident “a national tragedy”.
