In 2019 in Estonia increased the minimum wage, child benefits and some excise taxes
From 1 January in Estonia came into force a number of amendments to the law increased minimum wage and child benefits, and raised excise rates on certain goods.

Tax rates on diesel fuel and gasoline remained at the same level, and the planned increase in alcohol excise duty in December and its decision to cancel the Parliament.
The minimum wage increased by 40 euros and now stands at 540 euros per month and the minimum hourly wage is € 3.20.
From January 1 to child allowance for the first and second child increased from 55 to 60 euros per month. Since the third newborn allowance for each child in the family is € 100.
With the new year came into force the amendments to the packaging Act, which prohibit the stores to provide customers free thin plastic bags. As an exception is allowed in cases where it is necessary to ensure compliance with the requirements of hygiene, or for primary packaging of loose goods grocery.
