The volume of customs clearance of used cars in January-October 2017 increased by 6 times compared to the same period last year and amounted to 56 thousand units. This was reported in the press service of the SFS.
“For the first 10 months of this year on the customs territory of Ukraine was imported 123 thousand vehicles and paid to the state budget 17.4 billion UAH customs payments. Of which 56 thousand of used vehicle imports which paid 4.3 billion UAH customs payments,” – said the press service.
Customs officials say that if the average per month was imported about a thousand used cars in the current year, almost 6 thousand cars monthly, and in October brought in more than 7 thousand such cars.
“This growth was facilitated by amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine concerning stimulation of development of the market of used vehicles, which has reduced excise tax rates for used cars 10-20 times”, – reported in the GFS.
