Premium Genesis sub-brand will release a sports sedan G70.
Premium sub-brand Hyundai – Genesis – called the premiere date of its third model. G70 sedan will debut on September 15 in Seoul.
The model is built on the chassis of the Kia Stinger. The top-end version of the sedan will be equipped with Hyundai’s 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. The power of this unit on the “Stinger” is 365 horsepower and 494 Nm of torque.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the G70 will be more dynamic of soplatformennika: acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour it takes 4.7 seconds – 0.2 faster than Kia.
According to the representative of the Australian division of Hyundai Guido of Shenkeng, G70 will already be shorter and easier to Kia. The length of the “Stinger” is 4831 mm, width 1869 mm, and height – 1399 mm. The weight is 1850 pounds. Competitors Genesis G70, in addition to the Kia Stinger will be the BMW 3 series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Jaguar XE, Infiniti Q50 and Lexus IS.
By 2020, the Genesis will bring to market four models including the G70. Later the line will complement the coupe and a couple of crossovers.
