Only yesterday fans were happy that “Very strange things” will get a third season, today Netflix officially announced that the sequel will appear in their new TV series “Hunter mind” (Mindhunter). And that’s just great news, even though not-officially we heard about it back in October.
Because “Hunter mind” – a great series that simultaneously looks like a movie David Fincher (which is not surprising, since Fincher is one of the creators of the series) and the masterpiece the first season of “true detective”. Here is a little of what is called “action”, but the bulk of vivid characters, great dialogue, realism and atmosphere of the 70-80-ies of the last century. “Hunter mind” tells how the FBI began to develop the division of behavioral structures, as was done the first interview with serial killers and how some maniacs upon others.
I love this theme and frankly “bars” of this series, which is even hard to call a series in the usual sense – like “True detective”, “Hunter mind” is more like a great, very long (10 episodes) movie.
All the actors will return in the second season, including Cameron Britton, smartly embodied on the screen of a maniac Edmund Kemper. Earlier comrade Podolsky shared some details of the second season:
…in a recent interview, Director David Fincher and composer Jason hill blabbed about at least one thing that will be reflected in the series. They said that the sequel will be more of Afro-American music, as the story will touch on famous murders of blacks in Atlanta.
