Budapest is not satisfied with the adopted law on education.
In the complaint to the Secretary General of the OSCE, the assignee organization on national minorities and the OSCE Chairperson, as well as to the high Commissioner of the United Nations on human rights and the EU Commissioner for enlargement and European neighbourhood policy, the Hungarian government drew attention to the adoption by Parliament of a new law on education, which, in the opinion of Budapest, will infringe on the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine.
As stated by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siarto said that his country was also requested to take urgent steps that the law did not take effect.
While Szijjártó added that to preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine and taking into account the need to continue economic sanctions against Russia, Kiev can count on the vote of Hungary for a continuation of sanctions.
