Russian TV channel “Russia 24” suspects opposition in advance of the popular spinners (toy, revolving around its axis). This assumption was announced in the “News” in the story “Spinner: a cure for stress, a way to enrich themselves and the toy opposition” which was shown on television of the Russian Federation on June 19.

Journalist Alexei Kovalev drew attention to the story of the spinners on the TV channel “Russia 24” and wrote about this in his microblog Twitter.

“These toys are popular not only among schoolchildren and students: more than once they have been seen in the hands of representatives of non-system opposition”, – said the host of “News” Alexey Kazakov and gave the floor to my colleague Nikolai Sokolov.

Sokolov, speaking about the popularity of spinners in the West, noted that in Russia, they came late.

“Who is so actively promoting it to the masses?” asked Sokolov and immediately replied that the spinners were sold at rallies in Russia against corruption on 12 June.

“A videoblogger for sale right in the thick of things received, according to the money in order to shoot the new commercials,” said Sokolov.

Also he said that channels on the Internet that host videos with spinners contain a lot of politics. The program noted that the way of the canal lured “potential protest audience”.

At the end of the story the presenter told me that the Creator of the spinners Katherine Hettinger does not support the US government, and the website she recommends Facebook blocked in Russia (however, it is unclear what kind of site).
