New phones need to update the range of existing flagships.
Huawei yesterday, 16 October, at its event in Germany together with the Mate 10 is also introduced smart phones Mate Mate 10 Pro and 10 Porsche Design.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro has a 6-inch FullView AMOLED panel with a wider ratio 18:9 than in the Mate 10. This year Pro has a resolution of HD+ (this is 2160 x 1080 pixels and 402ppi), last year’s model was QHD (2560×1440 pixels and 534ppi). In addition, it supports HDR10, has a contrast ratio of 70000:1 and a cover 112% of the NTSC colour space for excellent viewing.
New all glass design Mate 10 Pro beautifully symmetrical, with one exception — a reflective stripe that contains the new dual camera.
It has a waterproof housing with a protection rating of IP67, which means that the phone can withstand immersion in water to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes and protected from dust. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back panel, infrared sensor, support for two SIM cards (nano SIM + nano SIM/microSD), this is a hybrid slot, and battery capacity of 4000 mAh with SuperCharge technology. Huawei promises that the charge for 20 minutes is enough to work throughout the day. The charger is certified by the TÜV Safety. In addition, the phone has not got a 3.5 mm audio Jack, but comes with playing Hi-Res audio.
Developed in collaboration with Leica camera equipped with a 12-Megapixel color (RGB) sensor and 20-Megapixel monochrome. RGB has a function of optical image stabilization. They have the same bright aperture of f/1.6. This is a significant improvement compared to f/2.2 Mate in 9. The new camera will allow to make high-quality images in low light conditions. There is also a dual tone led flash, phase and laser auto focus, CAF, and 4K video recording. The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels and aperture f/2.0.
In terms of performance, the Mate 10 Pro got 10Nm eight-core processor HiSilicon Kirin 970 (4 core Cortex-A73 c 2.4 GHz + 4 core Cortex-A73 at 1.8 GHz), which got a neural processor (Neural Processing Unit or NPU), specializing in the processing of neural networks. The chipset also brings to market the first graphics MPI Mali-G72. ARM has promised to increase productivity by 40%, compared to the G71.
The phone comes in two versions: the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent (as in Mate 10) and 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB ROM.
Artificial intelligence offers a Real-Time Object and Scene Recognition, automatically selecting the perfect camera settings for any environment or focus, and instantly translate text, voice, conversations and images into over 50 languages.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro is running the new EMUI 8.0 8.0 Android Oreo. New feature Smart Screen can simultaneously run two applications on the phone or turn the phone into a PC. All you need to do is connect a monitor compatible with DisplayPort via the USB port.
The size of the device is 154.2 x 74,5 x 7.9 mm and weighs 178 grams. There is support for 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro will ship in the colors of Titanium Grey, Midnight Blue, Mocha Brown and Pink Gold for the price of 799 Euro ($940) for the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent. The phone will be available in mid-November in more than 20 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
As for the top models Mate 10 Porsche Design, it is different from Mate Pro 10 in design, but the characteristics are almost identical. The only difference is the RAM size. The phone got larger flash drive in 256 GB.
Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design will be presented in Diamond Black color for the price of €1395 ($1646) and available from mid-November in 20 countries, including Bahrain, China, Egypt, Spain, Thailand, UAE and the UK.
