A novel about the midshipmen fell to Svetlana Druzhinina in 1983 It was written by Nina Sorotokina – engineer, College teacher. Sergey Zhigunov for the role of Sasha Belov became the first notable work and finest hour. During filming, he was drafted into the army, but Druzhinina have ensured that he could continue to work. The audience did not know that during the filming of the final episodes the actress was in the last months of pregnancy – this fact has managed to hide thanks to the lush dresses. And her daughter Agnes Ditkovskite, before birth got on the set, in the future also became an actress.
But for Olga Masnou the role of Sophia was not the first, but was very successful – it was after that it started to learn. About the shooting, she recalled with a laugh: “Fun was our date night in the forest, Boris and Gleb – Dima Kharatyan. Director Svetlana Druzhinina and the operator Anatoly Mukasey came up with a beautiful romantic scene – shot through twigs, leaves. I run towards Alyosha, run-run, birch-bushes – and out of the frame unwittingly run out. Take after take, the film takes.
