The energy Ministry promised that soon the retail price of liquefied petroleum gas is 12.2 UAH/l.
The Ministry of energy and coal industry says that the retail price of liquefied petroleum gas is expected to decline to 12.2 UAH/l in the shortest possible time.
This is stated in the letter from the Department of oil and gas complex of the Ministry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of economic development and trade, Antimonopoly Committee, the Ukrainian Association of liquefied gas and petroleum Association.
Energy Ministry informs that the exchange held the auction for the sale of liquefied gas in the domestic market (seller – PJSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya”, PJSC “Ukrnafta”), the results of which have been sold all of the claimed amount of liquefied gas. In particular, the auction number 73 – 6 245 tons at an average price of 23 150 $ /ton (12,2 – 12.7 UAH/l), and at the auction No. 43 – 4 680 tons at an average price of 20 525 UAH/ton (10.9 to 11.3 UAH/l).
“In view of the dynamics of a significant (almost 25%) decrease in wholesale prices of liquefied petroleum gas, there are objective reasons for the proportional reduction in retail prices for this type of fuel in the shortest possible time”, – stated in the letter.
It is reported that the wholesale price of 29 thousand UAH/ton, the retail price was 16.5 UAH/l.
According to calculations of the Ministry, at current wholesale prices retail prices should fall to 12.2 UAH/l.
