In the accounts of Russian banks in Ukraine – UAH 21 billion.
In the accounts of the banks with Russian state capital the Ukrainians keep 21 billion, of which deposits guarantee Fund in case of need can compensate for 8.5 billion UAH.
This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Kateryna Rozhkova.
She noted that these banks are capitalized and have enough assets including liquid, so they remain to work in Ukraine. At the same time, with the introduction of the March 16, sanctions will not be able to withdraw funds from Ukraine in favor of the parent structures. The sanctions are aimed at protection of interests of Ukrainian citizens, who have deposits in these financial institutions, said Rozhkov.
She added that the credit portfolio of these banks was two times higher than the obligations to customers.
“Selling is the best way to leave the Ukrainian market (such financial institutions – ed.). On some development of these banks on the territory of Ukraine can not speak”, – said Rozhkov.
