How many Ukrainians sought refuge abroad since the beginning of ATO

In the first place as a desirable “second Motherland” – Russia

Since January 2014 he sought asylum in Russia 427,24 thousand citizens of Ukraine. Information about this, see the newsletter of the office of the high Commissioner UN for refugees (UNHCR).

In second place for Ukrainian refugees – Germany, but the shelter has asked for a 9.6 thousand people, Italy – 9.3 thousand, in Poland – 4.3 thousand, 3.5 thousand in France and 3,1 thousand – in Sweden.

It is noted that these data reflect the total number of applications for asylum that was filed by the citizens of Ukraine since January 2014.

As previously reported, in July the state Duma adopted in the third reading of the bill, allowing to cancel the decision of acquisition of Russian citizenship for persons convicted for terrorism and extremism, as well as introducing the procedure of taking the oath upon acceptance of the Russian citizenship and to simplify citizenship for Ukrainians.
