The port of Mariupol was forced to go on four-day working week.
Ukrainian ports received more than a billion hryvnias of losses from-for actions of Russia in the Azov sea. This was stated by Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian.
“The port of Mariupol was forced to go on four-day working week. We see the constant stopping and Ukrainian foreign ships in the sea of Azov, the Kerch Strait, to the extent that shipowners bear losses due to downtime of ships,” – said Omeljan.
He explained that this is about 15-50 thousand dollars a day, and average delay of vehicles reaching over 30 hours.
Omeljan stressed that this is a loss not only of Ukraine, but also European taxpayers, because the products of these ports were to the European markets.
