The number of victims increased by 110% compared to figures for the same period of 2016.
According to the SMM of the OSCE in 2017 in the Donbass killed 44 civilians and 175 were injured. This was reported today by the first Deputy Chairman of the SMM OSCE in Ukraine Alexander hug, said on Twitter the mission.
At the same time, over the same period last year, the OSCE SMM has confirmed 107 cases – 84 wounded and 23 dead. “This is an increase of 110% when compared with figures for the same period in 2016”, – stated in the message.
From 1 January 2017, the mission confirmed the data about 16 dead and 34 wounded among the civilian population as a result of the detonation of mines, some of whom are children.
As previously reported, in 2016 141 civilians in the Donbas suffered as a result of detonation of explosive devices.
