But, as a rule, architects leave intact the facades of the houses, and the interior change to a more modern, in accordance with the wishes of the owners.
The reconstruction project of the architectural Bureau 05AM Arquitectura.
Architectural Bureau 05AM Arquitectura was commissioned to carry out the reconstruction of houses of the XIX century Maison à Colombages located in the suburbs of Paris (France). The owners of the house wished that the architects adapted the interior space to the modern realities, without losing the charm of the last century.

Experts have conducted a great job fulfilling the order. It was dismantled many alcoves (recesses), moldings, fireplaces, which divided the space into small, poorly lit room.

But the architects have removed not all: some niches (where appropriate to the project) were abandoned. Living room combined with kitchen and dining room. Some of the recesses filled closets. Window frames made in the same style as 150 years ago.
