The Japanese brand will focus on creating all-electric vehicles.
The company Honda presented its new development strategy until 2030 called Vision 2030. In particular, the Japanese are going to launch two all-electric models next year.
The development of the cars is handled by a special team formed at the end of last year. One of the electric cars created for the global market, will be presented this autumn.
In addition, Honda is developing another electric model, which will be sold exclusively in China. Finally, the Japanese promised to present soon a fully electric scooter.
Earlier it became known that a fully electric powertrain can get supercar Honda/Acura NSX next generation, which will release in 2023. Technology for the new coupe will borrow from the racing car Acura SH-AWD EV, which at last year’s race pikes Peak took third place in the overall standings. The compartment is equipped with four electric motors that can change the traction independently to each wheel, and batteries with a capacity of 70 kWh. Total return units greater than 1,000 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque.
In addition, the automaker has announced the development of its first car with the autopilot. The model will get automatic control system, “fourth level”. This means that the machine will be able to navigate in the General stream and take control of steering, brake and accelerator, but the driver at any time will be able to learn the controls.
The first car of the Japanese brand, equipped with an unmanned system of the fourth level should be presented by the year 2025. In 2020, Honda will begin production of cars with features semiautomatic operation.
