Compact house in which there is everything you need for a comfortable life.
Project SONOMA — one of the best examples of applying the concept of “tiny houses” (weeHouse), developed by Alchemy.
Created for a design Director for the stores of Apple, who himself is an architect, the house meets the highest requirements for style and decoration. It consists of two simple volumes on a concrete Foundation, installed on the slope of a picturesque hill covered with gnarled oak trees in the vicinity of Santa Rosa — city in California, USA.
House best illustrates the effectiveness of this method of precast construction. It was developed in Minnesota for a client living in San Francisco, built in Oregon and shipped to California, being finished at 90%.
The basic structure includes located in the center of the volume box from bleached oak to accommodate the bed. Outdoor common area (dining room — living room — kitchen) is on one side of this box, toilet and shower on the other.
Smaller guest house is an abbreviated version of the basic structure. Large wardrobe of bleached oak forms the wall of the bath room, providing both storage and protection of private life.
Both structures are steel structures with sliding glass walls with a height of about three meters and interiors decorated with wood Brazilian walnut and oak.
Outside the volume are wrapped in weatherproof steel which not only provides protection from atmospheric influences, but also in harmony with the environment — a sun-bleached grass and the twisted trunks of the riparian trees.
