Hennessey has released the fastest hypercar in the world

1600-horsepower Venom F5 hypercar can accelerate to 482 km/h.

American Atelier Hennessey within the tuning show SEMA submitted a 1600-horsepower hypercar, the Venom F5. This car, as the manufacturer promises, can be accelerated up to 300 miles per hour (482 kilometers per hour). This novelty, unlike its predecessor, was built from scratch and not based on existing components.

For Venom F5 hypercar, the company decided to abandon the chassis “Lotus”, which was used for the predecessor of this model. The design model has a carbon frame and carbon fiber body panels.

The drag coefficient of a coupe is 0.33. For comparison, its predecessor Venom, the figure reaches 0.44, and the Bugatti Chiron is 0.38.

Rear-wheel drive hypercar is equipped with a 7.4-liter twin-turbo “eight”, developed specially for this model. It gives 1600 forces and 1762 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-step “robot” with one clutch.

As options will be available “mechanics”, in this case, however, as they say in Hennessey, the driver will have to deal with the slipping and the traction control based on GPS data up to 225 kilometers per hour.

It is expected that from zero to 300 kilometers per hour, the Venom F5 will accelerate in just 10 seconds, and up to 400 kph in 20 seconds.

Results will be released 24 hypercar. Each of them will cost at least $ 1.6 million. To model has a list of options for another 600 thousand dollars.

Cars will be assembled at the plant in Texas. The first customers will receive cars only in the beginning of 2019.
