The Parliament ratified the agreement with France on the loan of 64 million euros for clean water in Mariupol.
The Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement with France on the loan to Finance the supply of drinking water in Mariupol. For the bill № 0218 voted 258 deputies.
The contract involves the provision by France of credit in the amount not to exceed 64 million Euro for a period of 30 years. Stipulated grace period of 10 years.
The document defines the procedure for financing and repayment loan, including interest for late payments, and other essential terms of the contract.
“The project provides creation in Mariupol, modern complex cleaning and disinfection of water with the aim of providing people and businesses with quality drinking water in required quantities, as well as upgrading the existing system of centralized water supply/sanitation to reduce losses of drinking water and waste (sewage) water into the environment. In addition, the project envisages the creation through the use of modern technology, emergency sources of city water supply in case of emergency”, – stated in the explanatory Memorandum.
As reported, Ukraine signed an intergovernmental agreement with France on the financial support of the project on drinking water supply of Mariupol in the Donetsk region.
