In the night of Saturday, March 18, the monument to Elena Teliga, who stands at Babi Yar, unknown vandals poured red paint.
About this on his official page in Facebook wrote the head of the OUN Bohdan Chervak.
“At Babi Yar, committed an act of vandalism. In the night, hiding from people, villains poured red paint on the monument to the outstanding figure of the OUN Elena Teliga. Without a doubt, a provocation carried out not only against the OUN and Eleny Teligi, but against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. All of this fits into the scenario of destabilizing the situation in the country, and, therefore, do not rule out that the writers sit in the Kremlin. In any case, law enforcement needs to find the perpetrators. Criminals should be punished,” said Chervak.
In addition, the head of the OUN noted that Elena Teliga gave their lives in the struggle for Ukraine.
“But it turned out that even in death, she is haunted by the enemies of Ukraine. Even dead gives them fear. Thugs will find and punish. There is no doubt,” said Chervak.

The incident did not remain without attention of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Rozenko, who on his page in Facebook said that the poured paint over a monument Teliga at Babi Yar will be fully restored within the next days.
