“Card of the pole” the Republic of Poland gives 2008 the citizens of all 15 post-Soviet countries.
About 100 thousand “Polish card” – about half of the issued all over the world – was received by the citizens of Belarus. But moved from Belarus to Poland less than a thousand holders of these cards.
Such statement on air of the “European radio for Belarus” was made the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Minsk Konrad Pawlik.
“We should not create myths around the “Polish card”. Poland “Polish card” – first of all a moral compensation for former Polish citizens, for those people who felt themselves to be poles, who in Soviet times had a hard life due to the fact that they considered themselves poles,” – said the Ambassador.

The constitutional court of Belarus in 2011, said that Polish law “On the pole’s card” is contrary to international law. The Belarusian Parliament in a year forbade the deputies to use “card of the pole” and adopted amendments to the law on civil service, banning of “card of the pole” and for officials.
