Users of AliExpress for some time were under the threat of hacker attacks
Experts in IT-security company Check Point Software Technologies as a result of research has discovered a vulnerability on the website of the popular trading platforms.It could automatically redirect buyers coming to AliExpress, on the site of the attackers.
There the malicious code was probably stolen valuable information. Also, users can show fake pop-up window prompting you to provide your credit card details. In an extreme case, a resource could be infected with malware.
The vulnerability was discovered a month and a half ago, but about it it became known only now. The administration of the site AliExpress responded quickly and fixed the problem.
But all the experts expect an increase in activity of cyber criminals on the eve of Black Friday and pre-Christmas discount period. They warn users of AliExpress about the risk of receiving phishing emails, and are advised to carefully check the website address before shares important personal data. Also not recommended to click on links of suspicious mail, and if in doubt refrain from buying.
