“Triton” is not just an armored car.
The state border service presented a unit system of protection of the state border “Triton”.
“Triton” is not just the armored car and complex engineering and technical solutions to effectively meet the challenges of border security,” – said at the presentation of the representative of frontier service Vladimir Marchuk.
Triton consists of an armored vehicle, a remote-controlled combat module, detection systems, identity goals and the system of information transmission.
The complex is equipped with tools that allow you to carry the service in isolation from the places of permanent dislocation for a long time. It can simultaneously track dozens of targets and, if necessary, to fire even by remote control battle module. “Triton” can be controlled at a distance of 200 metres. One such machine covers part of the border eight kilometers long.
As noted at the presentation, the State border service has purchased four “Triton”, and they are already working on the Ukrainian-Russian border.
“Triton” is equipped with satellite communications and online capable of transmitting information to the administration of the state border service.
In General, over 9 months of 2017 “Triton” 255 times used in the protection of the state border, they uncovered 11 violators, informed in gpsu.
Deputy Director of Department – head of Department of armament and equipment of the state border service Sergey Bukaemskii, answering journalists ‘ questions, noted that “Triton” is worth 14 million 870 thousand hryvnias for the fact that 44% is the base price armored armored personnel carriers, 23% of the prices is stationary combat units, 33% is the system observation,” said Bukaemskii.
However, according to him, the price that was voiced at the NAB, is only the cost of permanently fighting module.
