By 2035 it is planned to reduce energy costs in half.
The Prime Minister called the approval of the energy strategy of Ukraine until 2035 historic day. About this he wrote on his page in Facebook.
“Yesterday is a historic day for the energy sector of Ukraine – the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Energy strategy of Ukraine for the period until 2035,” writes Groisman.
According to him, this document was developed two years. In the work took part the largest scientific centers of the country, including the National Institute for strategic studies, international and domestic experts, public organizations.
“Under the new strategy, the new structure of the energy requirements from nuclear power is: nuclear power until 2035 would result in 50% of the country’s electricity, from renewable sources – 25%, hydro – energy is 13%, and the rest will be covered by thermal power plants,” the PM writes.
Thus, it is planned to reduce energy intensity (energy costs) economy to double by 2030 and increase the production of both traditional and alternative sources of energy.
