Blockade of trade with the occupied territories of the Russian Federation profitable, said the Prime Minister.
The blockade of supplies of coal from the occupied territory of Donbass is an act of sabotage against our country and Russian Federation.
This was stated by Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
The Prime Minister recalled that Donbas is Ukraine, and enterprises that are out there — Ukrainian, because it registered and pay taxes.
“What is happening with the blockade — it is in the interests of the Russian Federation… we are Talking about the fact that our coal, the Ukrainian, which were bought for UAH and pay taxes in Ukraine, it is necessary to prohibit, and to buy in Russia. This sabotage against our country”, — said the head of government.
He pointed out that the embargo has only the loss of the mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine will amount to $ 3.5 billion foreign exchange earnings, which will also lead to a reduction of up to 75 thousand jobs. In addition, Ukrainian companies will be forced to buy coal in Russia.
This Groisman said he was ready to negotiate with the participants of the blockade, however, believes that the authorities should act more decisively.
“There may come that moment, and I talked about this, we will need to act more decisively. And there’s this question of doubt” — said the Prime Minister.
At the same time, he acknowledged that the coal market in Ukraine should be transparent, and this government intends to create an energy exchange.
“We need to build an absolutely transparent market for coal. And our task is to build an energy exchange, where you and imported coal, and our coal will be sold in market conditions. It is very important to us”, — he said.
Hroisman recalled that the government managed to eliminate corruption schemes that existed in the gas sector, and to make this market transparent.
“They (the organizers of the corruption schemes) needed low price for gas that they bought it, and then you cheated. Because what people paid less — then “Naftogaz” received direct means, for example, in 2014 114 billion UAH received directly from the budget. 114 billion — almost the entire Pension Fund. It’s your vehicle, Ukrainians. We’re eliminated, and we believe that this market should be totally transparent,” — said Vladimir Groisman.
