The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Volodymyr Groysman expects stabilization of the hryvnia in January 2018.
According to him, this happens on the background of exhaustion of the seasonal factors that affect the value of the national currency.
“The fluctuation – absolutely seasonal in nature… In December it’s always the case. In January is stabilized and it is absolutely clear,” – said the Minister.
Speaking about included in the state budget-2018 rate of 30.1 UAH/$ by year-end, the Prime Minister stressed that this is only a forecast, and not the fact that it is justified.
“Pay attention, today there is no reason to say that we expect any serious fluctuations. Objective circumstances do not exist,” – said Groisman.
Note that the state budget for 2017 was drawn up taking into account the average annual hryvnia exchange rate of 27.2 UAH/$ rate at year-end 27,8 UAH/$.
At the same time, today, December 22, the official exchange rate of hryvnia to us dollar is of 27.85 UAH/$, and the Euro – to 33.03 UAH/€.
