Pensions for Ukrainians will increase from 200 to over 1 thousand hryvnia.
From 1 October 2017 the taxation of pensions for all pensioners can be abolished.
In particular, as noted by Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman during the meeting of the government, his Ministry with this initiative will appeal to the Parliament.
According to him, this step provides for pension reform, therefore, the only thing you need is only the support of Parliament.
In addition, the Prime Minister announced the increase of pensions from 1 October.
We will savremenim pensions for 5,6 million Ukrainian citizens. Approximately 1,308 million Ukrainian citizens will receive increased pensions to 200 hryvnia, 1,208 million will receive higher pensions at today’s prices from 200 to 500 hryvnia per month, nearly 2 million of Ukrainian citizens will receive increased pensions from 500 to 1 thousand hryvnias a month, – he explained.
The official added that another 1.1 million will receive a pensions increase by more than 1 thousand.
From December 2017, the government plans to carry out the indexation for the 9 million of the 12 million pensioners.
“I would like that in 2024 the Pension Fund deficit is 140 billion, was equal to 0 or is much smaller and approaches zero. Reducing the deficit will allow us to invest in pensions”, – said the Prime Minister.
