GPU reported Arbuzov suspicion in a criminal case

He is a defendant in the case of privatization of “Ukrtelecom”.

The General Prosecutor’s office said former acting Prime Minister Sergei Arbuzov the suspect on criminal case about embezzlement of 220 million hryvnia.

As reported on the website of the GPU, a former top official suspected of involvement in the allocation of state budget money on the construction of dedicated telecommunication network special purpose, which, according to the terms of the sale of shares of “Ukrtelecom” had to be shouldered by the buyer – the company “ESU”.

As a result of these actions the state budget in 2012-2013 was damaged in the amount of 220 million hryvnia.

The case is qualified under part 5 of article 27 and part 5 article 191 (misappropriation).

The Prosecutor General’s office plans to announce Arbuzov on the international wanted list and elect him a measure of restraint in correspondence mode.
