According to Gorbachev, in the center of attention at such meeting must be problem of reducing nuclear arms and strengthening strategic stability.

“After all, if the system limit nuclear weapons will collapse – namely, this may result in the collapse of the INF Treaty, the consequences will be catastrophic. Moreover, both indirect and direct”, he added.

Also a former politician stressed that if we are able to save the INF Treaty, it will be a powerful signal to the world that the major nuclear powers are aware of their responsibility, are serious about their commitments.

“All will be calmer, and relations between Russia and the United States will finally move from the dead point”, he added.
