Klitschko has announced an ambitious project.
Kiev authorities are planning to start cooperation with Google to use its services Kiev could obtain the necessary information on all municipal institutions, utilities and all city events.
As stated by the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko after a meeting with the Director for interaction with bodies of state power of Google Ukraine Oleg Yakymchuk, in joint plans to put on Google maps 3500 of Metropolitan facilities.
“We as the city authorities are to cooperate with Google, the most popular search service. To use a public, open, free Google services people can get necessary information regarding services and activities of all municipal institutions, utilities and all city events”, – said Vitaly Klitschko.
In addition, said Vitali Klitschko, the Metropolitan government intends, in collaboration with Google to develop a system that will allow every resident of Kiev or the guest of the city to be aware of interesting regional and citywide events. Google navigation will automatically draw the fastest route to the nearest event, given the traffic jams, repairs or utility crash. Subsequently, the system will adapt to the needs of a specific user and will pick up and advise, focusing on his interests and on events and locations.
It is planned that all placed objects and events are easy to find using Google voice search, which is available on all smartphones.
