Google launched a 3D tour of the Supreme Rada

Glad joins the club of open parliaments in the world.

The Map service Google launched a 3D tour in Street View mode by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Now anyone can visit the Parliament, not from your computer or mobile device.

“Today the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine joins the club of open parliaments of the world and invites you to a virtual 3D-tour with Street View technology on Google Maps. Now everyone, as well as in the Israeli Knesset or the U.S. Congress will be able to make a virtual journey in the Central hall and in the Verkhovna Rada, to feel the spirit and mood of the work of the Ukrainian Parliament”, – said the speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy.

Guests can stroll through the main hall of Parliament, where the meetings are held. Users will be able to choose the point of the review is to look at the room from the podium, to consider the place of Deputy. In addition, you can look into the lobby and see where the deputies communicate in between meetings.

During the virtual tour, users will be able to see the Flag of Independence – large (8×4 meter) flag, which the deputies of the first convocation of the Verkhovna Rada made the room 24 August 1991. This flag was posted for a short time on the sidelines on Flag Day last year.

Also on the sidelines, it will be possible to see an exhibition of “artifacts of Independence” – a variety of exhibits connected with Ukraine’s struggle for independence: flags, a draft of the Declaration of independence, the First universal and more.

With navigation you can easily navigate between different locations of the houses of Parliament – it is necessary to choose the right level with the right side of the screen, or just follow the arrows.
