Google Chrome received a major update

This week Google released 62 version of the Chrome browser for Windows operating systems, MacOS and Linux.

An updated version of the Internet browser will warn you about potential security risks when users enter data on an unencrypted web site. In addition, the new version fixes 35 security vulnerabilities.

Chrome updates happen in the background, so most users can just restart the browser to install the latest version.

In the new version of Chrome 62 will warn users that the site is unsafe if it: a) not encrypted with a digital certificate; b) the user starts to fill out any form fields on the page.

In addition, all pages viewed in Incognito mode of Chrome, in order to obtain all the possible warnings. In this case, the user will see a text “unsafe” in the left of the address bar.

Also in Chrome 62 variables are supported OpenType fonts that combine multiple font sizes and styles in one package that gives website developers more flexibility in creating attractive pages.

The update also supports the extended API Network Infomation (application programming interface), which provides indicators of performance of the connection browser.

The Mountain View company updates Chrome every 6-7 weeks. Last Chrome version 61 has been updated on 6 September. The following update Chrome 63 you should receive 3-9 Dec.
