An unusual startup has already joined the ranks of the interesting projects of the American company.
Expert in computer technologies from the University of Washington in Seattle of Shwetak Patel sold his startup to Google Senosis Health.
The system he created allows you to determine lung function and haemoglobin levels using sensors already built into modern smartphones. The development will allow patients to undergo a basic clinical tests at home.
Conclusion of a deal between Google and the expert in computer technologies, Svetokom Patel publication GeekWire reported the informed sources. On the project Senosis has more than 10 doctors and developers, headed by Patel. The command creates a smart diagnostic system, which uses built-in smartphone camera and microphone.
The startup has already released a series of apps for the diagnosis of various conditions and diseases. App HemaApp, for example, allows using the camera to determine the level of blood hemoglobin and diagnose anemia. SpiroCall and SpiroSmart determine lung function. The first application makes a diagnosis on a call, and the second uses the built-in microphone. Both programs help to diagnose asthma and cystic fibrosis.
