The next tranche of the International monetary Fund (IMF) may be allocated to Ukraine in a few days.
This was stated by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Valeria Gontareva.
“Last week the national Bank and Ministry of Finance have agreed on at the working level with IMF experts assess the effect of the trade embargo. The IMF has taken the Ukrainian side provided macroeconomic forecasts as a basis for updating their own forecasts,” she said.
“The next step for the IMF. Continue the relevant internal bureaucratic procedures of the Fund, is required to update the macroeconomic forecasts and the associated indicators and appointment of new date of the meeting of the Board of Directors of the IMF. After a positive decision of the Council, which is scheduled for April 3, tranche have to wait long: normally it takes several days”, – said the head of the NBU.
