Somehow quietly released the official trailer of the film “Gogol. The beginning” – length paintings mounted on the basis of the series “Gogol”, which, in turn, we wrote back in February.
Feature of the project (except for the plot, which resembles alloy “Crow” and “Sleepy Hollow” with the classic in the role of an investigator searching for the murderer) is that the show was so expensive in production, it was decided to also release a few movies. Plays four parts, each with two series: “Gogol. Start”, “Gogol. The enchanted place”, “Gogol. Wii” and “Gogol. A terrible revenge”. Thus, part of the cost of production the filmmakers hope to recoup at the expense of theatrical distribution.
The synopsis reads:
1829. Young Nikolai Gogol serves as a judicial clerk in the Third Department of His Imperial Majesty’s Chancellery. He begins to try himself in the literature, but the thought of their own ineptitude forced him to set fire to everything written. Soon, however, fate brings him to the famous investigator Yakov Petrovich Guro, which is sent from St. Petersburg to the outskirts of the Empire, to understand the terrible and mysterious events occurring in the province of Poltava, near the small village of Dikanka. Gogol persuades Guro to take it with you, and now the famous detective and his young assistant arrive in a mysterious Dikanka, where Gogol will not only come to grips with the evil spirit, but to write one of the most amazing books of Russian literature…
The Prime Minister, as announced in the trailer, will be held on 31 August 2017.
