“Glory to Ukraine” will become an official military salute

In Ukraine, want to change the law, a military greeting “Glory to Ukraine!” and “glory to the Heroes!”.

President Petro Poroshenko instructed to develop a bill which will replace the military salute in the APU of the Soviet sample on “Glory to Ukraine!” and “glory to the Heroes!”. On Tuesday, August 7, reported the Minister of defence Stepan Poltorak.

“The President of Ukraine instructed to prepare amendments to the law of Ukraine, which approves the military regulations because it is defined in military regulations, how to greet. Such proposals are pending, and we hope that after the release of the break MPs will accept it as a whole”, – said the Minister.

Thus Poltorak called earlier registered a bill about it “raw”.

According to him, the new bill is almost ready. The subject of legislative initiative is the President – the Supreme commander of the Armed forces.

The Minister also confirmed that during the military parade on Independence Day in Kiev on August 24 as a military salute will be used “Glory to Ukraine!” and “glory to the Heroes!”: “During the parade we will show that it is more Ukrainian, more than ours.”
