6. The great wall of China

The great wall is the largest monument on earth, and unfortunately, he is also gradually destroyed.

A few years ago restorers poorly reconstructed one of the most beautiful sections of the wall with a length of 780 meters, just covering it with a layer of concrete.

Now concerning unscrupulous restorers under investigation, and the remaining part of the wall restaurerede more carefully.

7. Castle Matrera

But in the end action Heather has played a positive role: the man who stole a real head, heart trembled and he brought her back. The sculpture was restored.

Instead of an epilogue

It is worth noting that cases of unsuccessful restoration of works of art can be counted on the fingers.

But countless works of masters of the past reached the present day thanks to the hard work of the restorers. One of the obvious examples — but this sculpture of an angel at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
