Peacekeeping forces should be introduced into all occupied areas.
In the composition of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas should not be a single Russian soldier, and she needs to sleep in the occupied territories up to the border with Russia.
In an interview, said Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the party of peace talks in Minsk, Irina Gerashchenko.
According to her, Ukraine is working on a resolution on the introduction of peacekeepers in the Donbass in 2015.
“And only now the ice was broken, and this initiative is beginning to gain supporters. Our initiative peacekeeping mission was absolutely clear. And its mandate should extend to all of the occupied territory. Its mandate – it must be accompanied by peacekeeping processes that support monitoring, assistance in the de-occupation, de-escalation and demilitarization of the region”, – said Gerashchenko.
She also added that peacekeepers should work to the Russian-Ukrainian border and control the border.
“Whatever it was, as now, is a hole in 400 kilometres, through which enter the Russian weapons, equipment and “the lost ones” type Ageeva (Russian military personnel who were captured by the APU. – Ed.). It is obvious that in this mission there should not be any Russians. They are now in the Donbass altered chevrons below them no one would know the representatives of the regular Russian army, but everybody knows about it. That is why this mission should not be Russian. On this we insist”, – added Gerashchenko.
