Life away from people.
Maxim Kavtaradze 63 years. The last quarter of a century, he lives alone on a 40-meter limestone monolith Kaziyski Pillar in Imereti (Georgia). The rock even before the birth of Christianity has been shrouded in myths and legends. From the mid-5th century at the foot of the cliff began to build the first Church, and much later was built a monastery which until the 90-ies of XX century, was in ruins.
It was then that Maxim Kavtaradze decided to change my life, to become closer to God. He refused from the old life: stopped to drink alcohol and sell drugs, began to do charity and to collect donations to restore the monastery on Cachisca a Pillar.
There on the top were ruins of an ancient temple. A new Church was erected here, thanks to the selfless Maxim Kavtaradze, and was named in honor of Maximus the Confessor, Christian monk, who died on the Eastern coast of the Black sea, near Colchis. The monk Maxim alone has lived for 24 years, eats that bring the residents of nearby villages.
