The Georgian side handed over to the Netherlands “Buk”.
Forensics, establishing the causes and circumstances of death of passengers of flight MH17, has at its disposal a missile identical to the one that, according to investigators, the plane was shot down over the Donetsk region.
Georgia gave the Netherlands a missile for anti-aircraft missile complex “Buk”, which was used in the investigation of the crash of flight MH17. It is reported by RTL Nieuws with reference to the speaker of the Prosecutor’s office of the Netherlands.
February 22, the missile was delivered to the military airbase Gilze-Rijen.
The Netherlands Institute of criminology was asked to assist in obtaining the maximum amount of information about this type of missiles, said the representative of the Prosecutor’s office.
In addition, tests using missiles “Buk” in the framework of the investigation of the crash was conducted in Finland and Ukraine.
RTL Nieuws, citing its own sources, also reported that the Ministry of defence of the Netherlands is studying the properties of the missiles and whether the complex “Buk” pose a threat to the new fighter program the JSF, which will be used by NATO countries.
