In Georgia three days continue the celebration of the abolition of visas.
In Georgia, from March 28 (23.00 on March 27 in Kiev) began to operate a visa-free regime with the EU.
The decision to introduce visa-free regime for Georgian citizens on 8 March, published in the Official journal of the European Union. It was supposed to come into force in 20 days − March 28.
Visa-free regime implies the free movement in the Schengen zone, which includes 22 member countries of the EU and four countries-not member of the EU (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) and four candidate countries in the Schengen area (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Romania, Croatia).
Georgians will without a visa to visit EU countries for biometric passports to visit not more than 90 days within six months.
Note, a visa-free regime does not confer the right to work in EU countries. The purpose of short-term visit may be tourism, business meetings, trainings, participation in cultural activities, visiting friends and relatives.
