Ukraine has repeatedly rejected Georgia’s extradition of Saakashvili.
The Prosecutor’s office of Georgia sent to Ukraine the next extradition of the former President, former head of the Odessa region of Ukraine Mikhail Saakashvili.
“On the issue of Mikheil Saakashvili to the Chief Prosecutor’s office of Georgia sent the Ukrainian side a legal appeal on his extradition to Georgia. Prosecutors of the two countries actively cooperate with each other”, — declared in Prosecutor’s office of Georgia.
Additionally, Ukraine has repeatedly rejected Georgia’s extradition of Saakashvili.
We will remind, on July 27, in the presidential Administration has confirmed that Mikheil Saakashvili was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship. On 1 August there was a corresponding decree signed by President Petro Poroshenko. The basis for deprivation of citizenship Saakashvili in the presidential Administration called the false data in the form of Mikhail Saakashvili. They say, he withheld information about the criminal proceedings opened against him in Georgia.
Saakashvili promised to return to Ukraine on September 10.
