HBO and George R. R. Martin – yeah, thanks to the rapid success of the series “Game of thrones”. Now Martin is ready to be Executive producer of a new project for HBO. Tellingly, this series will be based on the book, but NOT for the book itself Martin.
We are talking about the novel “Who Fears Death” (“Who fears death?”, published in 2010) writer Ndeni Adorator (Nnedi Okorafor). The author reported on Twitter, although sources Variety clarify that the deal has not officially closed. Representatives from HBO have also so far refrained from comment.

The action of the book takes place in the entourage of the post-apocalyptic Africa, where the tribe Nuru enslaved people Okeke. One day a woman from Okeke raped by a Nuru man. She gives birth to a daughter, which he calls Onezone, which translated from the Igbo language means “Who fears death?”. The child grows and starts to develop magical abilities. This is known to those who now wants her dead.
Martin is in development now at least two of the project: adapting an old novel about werewolves and fantasy horror “Night flight” for SyFy.
