The American Corporation General Motors (GM) announced on 20 April of the intention to suspend work in Venezuela after the capture of its businesses by the authorities.
According to the company, the process of taking control of the plant was carried out excluding the right of the Corporation to protect its rights and interests.
GM previously announced illegal seizure by the Venezuelan authorities of its plant in Valencia. According to the statement, other company assets, such as cars, were illegally exported from its facilities. GM noted that the seizure would cause irreparable damage to the company, its workers 2678, 79 dealers and suppliers, and promised to go to court to protect their rights.
