Gazprom has refuted the statement of Naftogaz to abolish the rules “take or pay”.
Russian monopoly Gazprom has denied the statement of the Ukrainian side about the fact that the court abolished the rule of “take or pay” (take or pay) in the contract. In this contractual principle has based a large part of the claims of Gazprom.
This was stated by Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Alexander Medvedev.
“One question only affected. Here (Ukrainian side claims – ed.) the award is cancelled take or pay. This is not so. Not canceled, it is take or pay. I’m not going to tell you that there is actually, but the abolition of take or pay is not” – he said.
At the same time, Naftogaz of Ukraine announced that insist on the abolition of the principle of “take or pay”.
Gazprom also believes the preliminary decision of the Stockholm arbitration court about the conditions of the gas supply contract with Naftogaz Ukrainy positive for yourself
“You read the decision of the Stockholm arbitration, which you so confidently say that it is not in our favor? As I read it. In any case, the balance of this decision for Gazprom positive.
