The possibility of restructuring Gazprom first mentioned in Eurobonds prospectus.
Russian energogigant Gazprom has officially announced about the possibility of splitting the company. This is stated in the prospectus for a new issue of Eurobonds of the company.
Gazprom forecasts that Russian authorities will be deprived of its exclusive right to export gas through a pipe. The document also says that is not excluded and the probability of reorganization of the company.
“The draft strategy for energy development in Russia up to 2035 assumes a monopoly on exports of pipeline gas, but there is no assurance that the exclusive right of the company in the future will not be canceled or our business or operations will not be reorganized in any other way”, – stated in the prospectus.
The appropriate decision may be taken by the Russian government, the document States.
The risk of loss of the monopoly on gas exports have already been described several times in the prospectus for Eurobonds, but the opportunity of reorganization referred to Gazprom for the first time.
